One of my favourite bits of the EMF lead up is the point at which the Unaffiliated Village, an anarchic collective of whoever felt like attaching themselves to meet some new people, achieves self-organisation.

It starts as nothing more than a registered village and a link to (this year) a Signal group, and by the time gates open it’s 20 odd people who’ve got a communal tent, things to sit on, and this year a Tim Curry Shouting SPAAACE flag.
