@jonty the cursedness goes multiple layers deep on these. if it's power only, wtf. if it's data only, even more wtf because USB 2.0 and 3.0 are 90Ω impedance whereas coax is 50Ω or 75Ω. with 75Ω it might not wreck the return loss completely, except for the bit where there's no shared ground reference.
@gsuberland @jonty maybe they got impedance matching inside?! and a bias tee for power?!
