Astonished that the crowdstrike share price is somehow still triple digits.
They are about to break the Guinness World Record for most active lawsuits, how do you think this is going to end.

@jonty I honestly think this is going to end with “it was an isolated error, processes have been put in place, etc etc” and then everyone carries on like nothing happened because the alternative is actually staffing security teams.
@jonty my guess is the share price will drop then go higher, because stock markets are incredibly silly.
@jonty i do think nerds massively overestimate the effect of downtime. i bet its a fraction of a percent of the whole time people have been using the service.
@gsuberland Place bets now!
Seriously let's do this. What is the crowdstrike share price in USD at market close next Friday.
Price is right rules: Closest without being higher than the actual number wins.
I say $200.
@jonty @gsuberland just remembering that brief moment when the price of crude oil went negative and wondering if that's possible for shares
@jonty next Friday? I'm guessing $230, although it depends how badly they butcher the response.
in a month or two? probably rebounding to $280.
@jonty @gsuberland $300. I think they’ve seen the damage they’re going to and will ride it out from here.
@jonty really depends on how good their contract lawyers were - it may be that they're not on the hook for anything (but may see sales crater for a while). Despite the relentless bad news, Boeing is still bouncing around their post-COVID price, so I say about a 25% haircut.
$260/share
@jonty @gsuberland *looks at cloudflare stock price history*
$342
@jon @gsuberland My gut feeling is that as stories start coming out over the next week about the damage done it'll drop, but it rather depends on the reporting
@jonty then all the press will lead folks to do more speculative trading and who knows lol, it's fully random
@gsuberland [sets a reminder to check]
@jonty *sigh* I may need to revise my estimate
@gsuberland Closed at $255.80, you win!
@gsuberland What incident. Everything is working fine on our end.
