Caved and created a burner Instagram account this evening. Not because I want to use Instagram, I killed the last one because that thing is crack that destroys my ability to do anything else, but because there’s an increasing number of things where they solely post updates on critical information like “we’re closed today” to Instagram rather than their website.

I can share my expirence in making the app less crack like (opensource andriod github mods/in memory patches) (yes I know)
but I dare say it's simply easier to make it a browser/computer only experience.
@thechaoszone yup, that’s the plan. I have no interest in using it as a social network, I was just sick of tapping a link to find out about an event or whatever and being presented with a big “log into Instagram” banner instead.
