If the phrase "Vulnerability Research meets Application Security" excites you, I’m hiring experienced individuals for remote work opportunities!
https://apply.workable.com/trailofbits/j/713B6A23B1/
I'm specifically looking for individuals with experience auditing source code for vulnerabilities and coming up with realistic exploits/exploit scenarios. Please note that "closed box" network penetration skills don't really apply to the work my team and I perform.
That said, Windows system internals knowledge is a plus, and I'm always happy to chat with folks who have experience(s) with other OS platforms—especially mobile—along with other language experience(s) such as Golang, Rust, TypeScript / JavaScript, Python, Ruby, C, C++, and Kotlin / Java.
I'm currently looking for a remote software development job
I have plenty of experience making software using all sorts of languages, frameworks and tools. Tho I have the most experience with Rust, C++, C#. I also usually do native cross platform applications and backend.
You can find my full CV on my website https://luna.graphics

👋 Hey Fedi - I’m hiring for two roles on my team at Trail of Bits 💻 If you (or someone you know) is looking for a new opportunity in 2025, check out these job descriptions:
I got a LinkedIn prompt to write something about the benefits of programmers working remotely. I thought I'd take a different angle on this than most of the respondents did: Focusing on ways programmers can use their skills to communicate with remote colleagues better.
Prose or code, communicating clearly and specifically is key. As programmers, we have a special type of experience writing what we mean for one specific audience!
I am actively looking for employment. Preferably Senior Software Engineer involving Ruby, US based Remote. I can also do all of the other usual "boring" languages, such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, etc, but prefer Ruby (Crystal is also cool). Not really a fan of Go, Rust, or React. I also have somewhat of a background in Security.

Shout out to anyone looking for a calm place to work remote or retire, take a look at Madeira/Portugal
You can find lots of different possibilities for all budgets. The "tourist villages" are costly, but up in the hills there are some beautiful and much affordable spots to stay. More links to start with in the comments.

I live in the north of #sweden , work in #IT, love #remotework done right. The more I know about #data and engineering management, the more I forget.
Curious about #sewing, #arthistory, #permaculture, #math, #cocktails, and any kind of real-life skill.
Like to pick things up and put them back down (also known as #weightlifting).
Love to read #nonfiction.
I haven't been on any kind of social media for 10 years. But posts about Mastodon make it seem different by design, so, hi.
Time for that "Looking for work!" post, I guess!
Unfortunately, my current role is impacted by Amazon's move to mandatory co-location for teams, and my family is far too settled in Brooklyn to move away now. So after 7 years at Amazon, I'm starting the search.
I'm looking for a new role as a Front-end engineer/Design technologist/UX Engineer. I like design systems. And CSS. And accessibility. Love those things.
Thanks to all the #DevRel folks here who let me pick their brains! I'm now officially #hiring with a VC firm for their portfolio companies
DETAILS:
* Multiple openings with different focuses/seniority levels
* Some #remotework jobs available (US/Europe)
* Must have a technical/eng background
* Most are small to medium size #startup companies
If this is you - would be happy to jump on a call to discuss options! Shoot me an email jenna@aronow.io
Thoughts on moving to a more #rural area ...
Like many, we moved out of the city because of #remotework. We have 2.5 acres, lots of wildlife, and easy access to awesome outdoors activities. Last night after I logged off, I hopped in the truck w/ my fishing kayak, caught three trout, and was back in two hours. If we want to head into town, it's just 25 minutes away.
We meet people three ways: Walking with our dog, dropping off/picking up kids at the school bus stop, and social events that neighbors host.
The irony is that it's easier to approach and talk to people here because people don't have their guard up like you need to do in the city. When you're in an urban area, you generally want to be careful about who you interact with.
I rode the bus into downtown Seattle and Bellevue for 15 years. I used to play chess in Westlake Park during my lunch breaks (see photo). Yeah, I miss some of those old times. But a lot of what I liked is gone now.
Generally, rural areas will be more conservative. I'm fine with people holding stupid opinions. I don't need to agree with them, but I can treat them like people and more than just their politics.
If you can, I recommend making the #rurallife move. I think it's good for society to have more diverse opinions in #ruralamerica.

I'm a 33y.o. French expat in the lovely Netherlands 🌷.
By day, I orchestrate the engineers teams at circularise, a thriving Dutch scaleup. But when night falls, I morph into an enthusiast of playing cards.

I'm an open-source enthusiast and self-hosting masochist. Initially a #JavaScript developer, still doing all things web, big #WebAssembly fan, recovering conference addict. I am a #DevRel focusing on #DevEx & OSS communities in particular. Also a staunch advocate of flexible, async remote work.
I co-founded #RustFest (that really needs a proper fediverse presence, until then, check out @eurorust) with @jer & @skade
Frequently have Opinions™ and post about #conferences, especially online, #remoteWork, my #homelab & #selfhosting hobby (currently rebuilding, follow along at #homelabNG )
