My son has decided he wants to read #manga. I’m kind of stuck on where to start. Obviously he can pick something up at the library, but is there a series an 11 year old would like? He read a bunch of the Avatar and Legend of Korra graphic novels as well as some of the Steven Universe ones. Anything with lore is his jam.
(Ironically, this happens when I’ve been trying to get manga on my ereader for a trip.)
I just moved instance and thought it would be great with a short #introduction .

W końcu "dorosłem" do przesiadki z mastodon.social na pol.social. Co prawda data utworzenia pierwotnego konta, gdzieś w 2018 roku, wyglądała dumnie, ale trzeba mieć priorytety.
Dlaczego zdecydowałem się na przesiadkę? Raz - oficjalna instancja miała swoje problemy wydajnościowe (chociaż ostatnio się to uspokoiło). Dwa - podoba mi się działalność @ftdl. Trzy - większy limit znaków 😉
Nigdy nie dbałem o jakieś "przedstawianie się" w sieci, ale może warto zrobić lekki wyjątek. Możecie się tu spodziewać treści głównie związanych z #giereczkowo, jako że to hobby towarzyszy mi od ponad ćwierć wieku. Dzięki uprzejmości @tenartur zdarza mi się publikować to i owo na łamach @pograneeu - taka namiastka niespełnionych ambicji sprzed lat. #manga i #anime też się tu pewnie trafią, chociaż dzisiaj już głównie w powiązaniu z grami. Mam słabość do #VGM, tendencje do emocjonalnego angażowania się w to w co gram/oglądam/słucham. Uparcie #TeamPudełka, mimo niesprzyjających wiatrów - chętnie podzielę się nowymi zdobyczami z #fedi. Mimo narastającej frustracji, nadal korzystam też z dawnego portalu z ptakiem 🤷🏻♂️ Jak się już do czegoś zapalę, to idę jak dzik w żołędzie, ale naprawdę - nie trzeba mnie pytać co pół roku, kiedy skończę ten dwudniowy projekt.
Tak więc miło mi Was tu widzieć.

Last time I used regionally appropriate dialect in a translation of #Hagio’s Poe Clan, a reviewer complained. What are they going to say when they see the new Poe stories, which begin on #Anglesey, where the majority of residents speak Welsh? Finally caught up on Kaiju No. 8 which started out really interesting with a lot of potential spins. It's sad (to me) that it just increasingly evolved into the typical power escalation shonen only keeping a faint tinting of the initially set up topics.

I'm reading 作りたい女と食べたい女 (She likes to cook, she likes to eat) and it's so cute watching these two ladies become friends (and more??) over their shared love of food. They're both working adults, and making friends is hard, and I love watching them put in the effort to make a connection and then be nervous about being wrong and the joy when it's reciprocated.
