Another nice canyon country fin (4/23/2024).

A black and white landscape photo of a very tall highly eroded sandstone formation. The bottom quarter of the photo is in shadow, it's flat, and covered in sagebrush. Then sunlight lights a cliff face. Extending out from the cliff face, from center right to center left are two narrow fins of rock. The furthest one on the right is longer than the closest one on the left. Both are very narrow. At their base is a conical pile of debris that has eroded down from the narrow fins over the millennia. The sky, due to a red filter, is very dark grey thus the sandstone cliff and fins standout brightly lit.

Saguaro Cactus

The Saguaro Cactus captured in the desert north of Phoenix Arizona.
Spent a few days in Phoenix visiting family. My brother and I went out into the desert as I wanted to explore the area.
The timing was perfect as you can tell, the overcast skies kept the temperatures down in the mid 70's allowing us to explore the desert without coming down with heat stroke.

Live--from the Sonoran desert (well, actually, from about 30 minutes ago), it's comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS in the Arizona evening sky!
(Quick edit as my travel laptop is pretty old and junkie with a low resolution monitor that is not color corrected.)
