Every new “future of work” startup is trying to fix Slack, which was supposed to fix email, which was supposed to fix meetings. At some point, maybe it’s not the software that’s broken. Maybe it’s work.
@Daojoan no, it's definitely the communication app that's the problem. I started to use the PMWSAPTA messenger a few months back (Paper Message With String Around Potato Through Air). It is compatible with email, slack, teams, etc. and open source.
Benefits include:
- Immediate reply.
- People only contact me if it's really really important
- Management prefers that I work from home most of the days now.
So it's quite good, although I admit it is better adopted as a one sided protocol.
