Here are the electronics that go into my 1:10 scale Connection Machine miniatures. One QT Py, four red LED matrices, and four LED driver boards. They're all strung together with I2C cables JST SH plugs and sockets.

It takes me around 80 minutes to solder the matrices to the driver boards and another 10 or so to program it. So, ~1.5 hours for all of the CM's electronics. I'm certain that others could do it in less time but I'm not in a hurry.
These are the printed parts for a Connection Machine miniature. Even with relatively speedy printers they take around 15 hours of printer time. With maybe twenty minutes of labor to tend the printers and then finish the prints.
Oh, and these are the lids that are the last parts to go on as they close off all eight of the sub-cubes. The vents go in back and the panels with LED light guides go in front, natch.
