I did a write up of setting up Webmentions on my site! I had mentioned it earlier, but there was one stumbling block that took me longer to figure out.

Webmentions let me get notified when people share my posts, respond to my comments on other sites, etc., and lets me use my site for a lot of the kinds of interactions I'd otherwise have to do on social media.

Hi evervone! I recently set up my blog to receive Webmentions, which means that A) if somebody wants to link to one of my posts from their website, I can get a notification about their post, and B) if I comment on someone's website using my URL, I get notified of their replies. I like this because it allows people in the IndieWeb community to use our websites kind of like social media - to have conversations with each other - but outside of the silos of social media."
