The ocean now makes its way down the left side of the piece, crashing against the rocks in the bottom left corner. A sailboat glides through the water in a shaded area. Pine trees start to appear on one of the cliff tops.

I worked on more pine trees on the top right of the piece as well as some of the rocks that define the cliffs. It's all very messy, scribbly right now. On the left I did a rough pass at that hill/cliff.

I drew the large redwood that rises up the middle of the piece. I also had to do the cliff rocks and shadows behind the tree.

I worked on the top right corner down along the right side. I drew another redwood tree, some bushes, a lot more rocks in the cliff. What's left now is the bottom third of the piece all the way across.

Steep cliifs rise out of the ocean. Redwood trees, grasses and flowering shrubs grow amongst the rocks. A line of chickens stand on the foreground cliff.
