@grahamdunning Looks good! Oh, yes, meltier than acrylic for sure. But a lot stronger, I use it for mechanical stuff quite a bit.
Best bet for Tufnol might be to lasercut a template and use it with drills & a router.

@jarkman the uni technician suggested a water jet cutter, but I don't really have time to get familiar with a new machine right now. A shame cos the etched (burnt) lettering looked really cool.
@grahamdunning It would be interesting to see what a waterjet would do for sure.
In case it's useful, this is an example of what acetal will do that acrylic won't.
@jarkman oof, that's fantastic. I'm mainly using acetal as Sam has been singing its praises, which I expect is somewhat through your encouragement!
