I'm having fun on this server so I'm going to stick around a little while.

I'm married, parent to a toddler, a practicing Christian druid and aspiring monk, a freedom enthusiast, a Communist with Marxist-Leninist (-Maoist) leanings, a language nerd, a weather watcher, an experienced DM, a novice webdev, a webcomic appreciator, neurospicy, mercurial, catlike.

I don't talk to people as much as I'd like. I'm fascinated by ways to communicate but pants at actually using them. I itch to create things but generally can't muster up the energy to do so.

I was born in the 70s but raised in the 23rd century. My first computer was a Commodore 64 and the first code I ever wrote was on a VAX terminal. I've wanted to be a Jedi my entire life. I was more influenced by Kung Fu: The Legend Continues than I want to admit.

I'm from the north but have been stranded in Texas since the pandemic began. Prior to that my wife and I lived on my boat, and before that I was a truck driver. I haven't been in one place this long since I was a teenager and I hate it. Traveling for the sake of traveling is my favorite thing and I miss it fiercely.

Fictional characters I identify with the most include Snufkin, Worf, Kevin Flynn, Laszlo Cravensworth, Brad Boimler, and Jubal Harshaw. My favorite party role is tank, my favorite classes to play are paladins, bards, and mystics, my favorite Trek series is DS9 but the one I've come back to the most is Lower Decks. I love Klingons and the Borg and the Wookiees.

My favorite foods are pizza, picadillo tacos, and dall over naan. My favorite genres of music are post-grunge, Celtic traditional, and anything electronic. Regarding print or visual media, I tend to prefer speculative fiction but usually end up watching what my wife suggests. Or the Simpsons.

It is my hope to one day establish a solarpunk monastery, and I'd also like to write a book, build a submarine, and get my helicopter pilot's license.
