There were two evils battling each other In Syria fellow citizen Aure Free Press .

One is based upon capitalist cronyism, and the other theocracy.

The theocrats have won this time.

But the inhumanity and suffering will be the same, perhaps even worse.

Syria will now become the hellhole that Afghanistan is.

Is that better or worse than Assad?

It depends upon who you are and what you believe.

But in the end it will probably equal the same number of innocent dead.
