@Byzzyy It doesn't need to be at all. That is only what the AI companies, nvidia and the fossil fuel lobby want us to believe. They need this for their profits. It's part of the hype, I wrote about this earlier: https://wimvanderbauwhede.codeberg.page/articles/the-real-problem-with-AI/

Still, the calculator is useful although it is limited (does not include embodied carbon nor idle power consumption).
